We are looking for a highly motivated, dynamic and ambitious postdoc for a 2-year postdoc position to commence June 1st or shortly thereafter. The position is funded by the Independent Research fund Denmark and focuses on the development of chemical probes for a brain relevant kinase. The successful candidate will join the Frølund group, and the position offers a dynamic and multi-disciplinary project in a team focused on medicinal chemistry research related to small molecule modulators of brain activity. The primary task will be to identify and validate covalent allosteric modulators for CaMKIIb and will involve computational and organic chemistry, biophysics and structural biology. The project will be in collaboration with the Gehringer lab, University of Tübingen. Place of employment The place of employment is at the Department of Drug design and Pharmacology, University of Copenhagen. Terms of employment The position is a fixed-term position limited to a period of 2 year. The starting date is 1 June or shortly thereafter. Salary, pension and other conditions of employment are set in accordance with the Agreement between the Ministry of Taxation and AC (Danish Confederation of Professional Associations) or other relevant organisation. Currently, the monthly salary starts at 39,200 DKK/approx. 5,240 EUR (November 2025 level). Depending on qualifications, a supplement may be negotiated. The employer will pay an additional 18,07 % to your pension fund. Foreign and Danish applicants may be eligible for tax reductions, if they hold a PhD degree and have not lived in Denmark the last 10 years.
